Update Regarding Our Church Community - Adorkaville                    May 17, 2015

Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor

powers, nor things present, nor things to come...shall be

able to separate us from the Love of God, which is in Christ

Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)

Despite all efforts to save the buildings on Adorkaville, on March 30, 2015 (3/30), the city of Jacksonville  (Jacksonville Municipal Code Enforcement) in the state of Florida USA, destroyed not one, not two but three out of the four remaining buildings.  One of the buildings included our Church building, our Sanctuary, of which architectural drawings for restoration were under review at the City's building permit office.  The community is also under review for being declared a historical landmark by the Jacksonville Historic Preservation Commission. Note-this is the third time the site has undergone historical review. In 2003, the site met all necessary historical requirements, however, the voting was stopped when it went before the City Council for final approval.

Since the destruction by the city of Jacksonville happened during Easter week, we felt how Jesus' mother, disciples and other followers felt when they witnessed Jesus' crucifixion.

They had to see the bloody crown made of thorns on his head, the whelped wounds on his body  and watch the Roman soldiers nail Him to a cross made of wood.  For hours Jesus hung on the cross in pain (oh yes, He felt this pain), seeing people he had helped and did so much for shouting to crucify Him!  While hanging on the cross in agonizing pain, God seemed so far away and Jesus cried with a loud voice, "My God, My God Why Hast Thou Forsaken Me!" St. Mark 15:34 (where are you father?!). After saying these words, Jesus gave up the Ghost without surrendering and without compromising.  Jesus had fulfilled His part of the contract that God had sent him to do. "It is Finished"! Now that He had completed His part of the contract, it was then God's part to raise Jesus from the dead and give Him Power….And there is nothing impossible with God…That's why TRUE CHRISTIANS REJOICE OVER THE RESSURECTION!

Although the city of Jacksonville destroyed our buildings, as with Jesus and Mother Kofi, we too will not surrender nor compromise.  We REJOICE that God sees all and knows all... And shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him, though He bear long with them?…He will avenge them speedily…St. Luke 18:7-8. Thank God for Jesus and Mother Kofi!!

Some Things to Think About

Who would be Jesus?

Who would be the High Priests?

Who would be Judas (worse than Judas)?

Who would be the Roman soldiers?

Who would be the crowd of people Jesus did so much for?
